If last week's winter storm, which dumped up to 30 inches of snow on patches of Connecticut, was The Blizzard of 2011 -- then today is The Mess of 2011. Ice and rain and just BLEH on top of last week's remaining snow has made for a migraine of travel today. When I went to leave for work this afternoon, my car was surrounded by a vat of murky snow goop. And my car, like many others, was housed in a perfect shell of ice. So when I got in to go to work, I rolled down the window and this happened.



I win. But I also lose because I drove to work with ice in my car.
